Stunning views at this yoga centre
situated in a tiny village
on the
Turquoise Coast |
|
Here at the start of the
Lycian Way - the famous coastal walk through unspoilt countryside - is
this family run yoga hotel with its fabulous yoga deck and
wonderful food.
Everything you need
for a relaxing week. |
|
 This
small, family run hotel situated in a small, peaceful village overlooking
the Mediterranean sea.
There is a spacious swimming pool with numerous
wooden loungers and umbrellas as well as a poolside bar for drinks and
snacks during the day.
With its stunning views and the long relaxing walk down to the sea (lifts
often available), this hotel provides an affordable, tranquil haven in which
to rest, relax and enjoy the many benefits that this beautiful corner of
Turkey has to offer.
The hotel is set in organic gardens with well
established lemon, olive, apricot and peach trees which provide delicious
fruit during the spring and summer months. Roses, geraniums, jasmine and
lavender provide wonderful scents on balmy evenings and our grapevine
covered terrace provides a relaxing shady space to enjoy a glass of wine
or dinner.
Many vegetables such as aubergines, tomatoes, pumpkins and green peppers
are also planted in their organic gardens providing fresh seasonal
produce for the kitchen. The food is delicious.

Yoga
- this space overlooks the mountains and valleys rolling down to the sea.
The views are amazing as is the yoga space.
A new
octagonal yoga platform was constructed during spring 2009 with views over
the gardens to the sea beyond.
Built
from cedar and local pine it can accommodate up to 30 people.
It has a grass covering to provide plenty of shade to keep students cool and
comfortable while they carry out their practice, the grass can be tied to
one side for uninterrupted views!
*it is MUCH nicer than it looks here, it is actually the
nicest yoga space we know of in Turkey, large, airy and great views.

Therapies
One room has
been set aside for therapies such as holistic massage, aromatherapy and
reflexology. It is fully equipped with a massage couch and a professional
complementary therapist is available to provide various treatments by
appointment.

Activities
Swimming:
walk down the hill to the nearby village cove with its small shingle beach,
here you can have a refreshing swim in the sea. Should you decide to explore
further along the coast then you will find huge rocks jutting into the sea
ideal places for sunbathing.
Sandy beaches
are reached by buses which run regularly along this remote coastal road
taking you to the more touristy areas. Widely known as the Turquoise coast
due the exceptionally clear blue waters found in this area, the sea provides
many opportunities to swim, snorkel and dive as well as numerous boat trips
to visit local attractions such as Butterfly Valley and St Nicholas Island.
The Lycian Way: Turkey's first long distance footpath passes directly
behind the hotel and together with other local marked pathways this provides
a wide range of walks to suit all abilities. Pictured left: walking on
the Lycian Way
Horse riding facilities are also available a short drive away and
there are also opportunities to tandem paraglide from the nearby mountains
overlooking Olu Deniz.
Shopping: local buses or taxis can be taken from the hotel to Deniz
and Fethiye. Olu Deniz is a lively beach resort with many shops, bars and
restaurants as well as a lagoon considered to have healing properties.
Fethiye is a thriving market town with a 16th century Turkish bath, ancient
rock tombs, fish and vegetable market, excellent seafood restaurants, carpet
shops and a busy marina with nearby cafes and gardens.
History: A little further afield are the historic sites of Xanthos,
Tlos or Pinara with archaeological remains such as temples, amphitheatres,
mosaics and tombs from the Lycian, Greek and Roman periods. Our staff can
help you arrange taxi trips to all these sites. |
