Both yoga and non yoga holidays are held here. Situated inland in Potamida
village this venue hosts small groups. Quiet beaches are a walk or short
taxi ride away. |
|
This year David and Juliet are
offering health oriented holidays based on techniques that they
feel work well because they have worked well for themselves. They wish
to pass on this approach to good health for others to use. |
|
Your
day:
Yoga,
Walks and Meditation
There’s yoga for an hour in the morning, followed by breakfast, then a
local walk, off the beaten track. The walks end at a taverna for lunch.
In the afternoons there’s free time and then a short time of yoga
stretching is followed by calming meditation.
Treat yourself well
After breakfast there is a session of about 3 hours where you will both
learn about and experience different health techniques. Lunch (included)
follows and then there’s free time. Before dinner there’s an optional
meditation and short yoga session.
Relax, refresh, revive
This is a very flexible holiday based on your needs. The days will
include some or all of the following: morning yoga, breakfast, health
information / treatments, lunch (if at the Mill), walks and beach trips,
evening meditation and dinner.
All yoga
equipment is provided. Bring walking sandals with back strap or light
boots for walks
Health option: Both your hosts David
and Juliet are therapists and should you want support with your health
or to simply enjoy an aromatherapy massage - you can do just that.
(Treatment/massage £50). In the Relax, Refresh, Revive holidays three
treatments are built into the price of the holiday

Location:
We are
situated at the western end of Crete, which is much less developed for the
holiday-maker than the areas towards the other end of the island.
The Olive Mill is inland hidden away in countryside outside a small
village. We link it with Mithimna Beach accommodation for those who wish
to stay by the sea. It is a great place to start walks from as it is set
within spectacular countryside.

Venue
Information:
The Olive Mill is David and Juliet's home and is situated inland, just
outside the small village of Potamida. It is off the beaten track with
fabulous mountain views. It’s a green oasis of peace and good energy. The
beach is a half hour walk on flat, quiet roads.
You stay in Stafilia House next to the Olive Mill. It is ideal for small
groups of up to 6 people. The area is secluded and quiet and the setting
quite intimate, perfect if you enjoy the countryside. Your accommodation is
in attractive and comfortable rooms with both shady and sunbathing gardens.
It is within walking distance of mountains and coast. You overlook craggy
gorges at the end of the valley where the play of light changes all day.
The house is divided into two:
Stafilia Apartment has one double/twin bedroom and a separate kitchen and
living space with a comfortable sofa which easily converts into an
additional single/double bed. The toilet/shower area is equally accessible
from both rooms. Outside is an arched veranda and gardens leading to the
mountain view
Stafilia Studio has lovely dining and sitting room with integral kitchen and
twin/double bedroom, a toilet /shower room adjoins. There is space for an
additional single bed if required.
Food:
Food is vegetarian and catering for special diets is our specialty – without
a fall in service or choice. Daily breakfast and four evening meals are
included and lunches as described for each holiday. Other meals can be taken
at a range of local tavernas or we can cook for you. Whatever you choose to
do you will find us able to assist you and our hospitality sets us apart
from other holidays – we really take care of you!
|
|
Single rooms:
We have a single room supplement for sole occupancy. To avoid this, why not
bring a friend or share a room with another participant. Our experience is
that friendships are often made by sharing. Even if you are used to living
alone it can be pleasant to re learn the easy tolerance of sharing space and
time and Jilly will help pair you up.
