Come to Lesbos in May, when all the flowers are in bloom and the island is green and warm.

come for one week or more

Lesbos is a truly magical island, where you can swim in the warm sea or dip into the nearby hot spring pools.

The Centre "Milelja" is purpose built and is situated on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean - a short walk from the ancient village of Molyvos. A truly magical island, where you can swim in the warm sea or dip into the nearby hot spring pools.

Hill walks will be given at the weekends, the views from the hills are panoramic and there are many archaeological sites and monasteries to visit.

 Guest Teachers

Suzie Shpazier is a very gentle and meditative senior teacher. Her teachings bring relaxation and strength. She is well qualified to teach, being a Karuna teacher for many years. We are delighted she will be joining us for the first 2 weeks.

Gary Carter has a unique approach. His far seeing talks on anatomy and physiology give a new dimension to your yoga adding a feeling of freedom and lightness. He will join us for the 3rd week.

Dawn Smith has also trained as a Karuna teacher with Ruth who says ”She has great empathy and understanding and is a natural teacher. I am delighted she will be teaching you.”

John White will be taking the philosophy groups this year.

The Accommodation

The Milelja Guesthouse provides an intimate atmosphere for workshops, with sweeping views of the village and sea. Old trees and the natural stone building, carefully fitted into the landscape, form the special character.

The accommodation at the centre is of a high standard and most comfortable (26 students only within the centre). Rooms are mostly twin-bedded and there are adequate hot showers.

Please note that when the centre becomes fully booked, students will be accommodated in the nearby Delfinia Hotel.

We serve a rich breakfast on a shady terrace overlooking Molyvos and the sea.

Self-service facilities are provided for teas and coffee as well as small snacks.
Milelja is just a 15 minute walk from the sea and the village of Molyvos (Mithimna in the old Greek). The village is architecturally protected due to its historical importance as an ancient seaport dating from before the fall of Troy and the magnificent Venetian castle that sits above.

There are two halls for the yoga workshops. Both provide wooden floors, meditation cushions and mats. The Garden Hall is 100 sqm and is below the main house. The Mandala Hall, erected in pagoda style, is rounded and larger at 115 sqm of usable space with incredible views of the village
