The weather
You can expect mostly sunny weather. From May to September it rarely rains in this part of Turkey.

From June to September the weather can be quite hot during the day, and pleasant early in the mornings and in the evenings. There is plenty of shade and often a cooling breeze.

After mid-September the weather can break with the occasional thunderstorm.

The sea is at its warmest in September and October, and the weather is still very pleasant and warm at this time of year.

Food - The dining area is a covered terrace, with views of the sea.
Good, healthy food is at the centre of our philosophy. We serve delicious vegetarian and vegan meals, using many local organic ingredients.

Menus are drawn from Turkey’s rich culinary traditions and centuries-old village food preparation methods. To these we add the know-how of contemporary international wholefood cuisine.

Turkey is famous for its range of vegetarian fare. Meze is the collective name given to a wide range of small dishes, i.e. biber dolmasi green peppers stuffed with rice raisins and pine nuts, sigara boregi cheese filled pastry rolls, saksuka aubergine, tomatoes and hot peppers in olive oil.

We serve breakfast after morning yoga and dinner after the evening session. A vegan option is available on request.

A typical Turkish breakfast at Yuva consists of: home-baked breads, tahini, bulghur porridge, local mountain honey, yoghurt, fresh fruit, homemade jam, eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, tea or herb tea.

Typical evening menus at Yuva
· Home-made soup with fresh bread

How to get to Yuva
The nearest Airport is Dalaman (one and half-hours).

Antalya Airport is at 3.5 hours distance.

We offer pick up services to and from both Dalaman and Antalya Airports.

We are located in the village of Faralya, 14km from the town of Fethiye, near the Ölüdeniz Lagoon.

Flights
The best way here is by air to Dalaman Airport.

Charter flights from many UK airports fly direct to Dalaman usually on Mondays. When booking we suggest you check the times carefully (sometimes the return times from Dalaman can be at strange hours...).

Flight prices vary daily and are not fixed until booked. The rule of thumb with most flights these days is the sooner you book the cheaper the fare. Often, but not always, if you book far enough in advance you will only be asked for a £50 deposit.

Do feel free to ask the staff in the Free Spirit office to help you search the internet for a cheap flight. they will also know when the other participants are arriving so that you will have somebody to share your transfer taxi with.

Airport Transfers
Our safe, reliable transport agents will meet you at Dalaman Airport. The journey by car or minibus to Yuva takes approx. 1hr 30mins.

If you are on a group holiday and your flights match those of others in the group, then group transfer rates apply, Dalaman/Yuva (£15 each way, £30 return, per person). You may need to wait for others to arrive on flights near to yours; there is a café in the coach park where you can sit in the shade.

If your flight arrival and/or departure do not match, we will be happy to arrange private transfers for you Dalaman/Yuva (£40 each way, £80 return, for up to 2 persons).

Arriving By Sea
As an add-on to your holiday (especially for island hoppers) an alternative way to arrive at Yuva is to take a ferry ride to Fethiye from Rhodes, Greece.

Upon arrival
Yuva is situated in an environmentally protected area of natural forest.

The final approach is 15 minutes’ walk down a steep, unsurfaced forest road. (Vehicles can get down this road, and if you need a ride up or down, we can always provide it).

Transport arrangements are as described.

If you would like more flexibility, and you are a competent driver, we suggest you hire a car; a 4x4 is recommended. We can help to arrange this in advance, if you wish.
